Meet Dr. Alicia Ates

Howdy! My name is Dr. Alicia Ates, and I am so excited to be working alongside Dr. Hathaway to create Healthy Smiles for Healthy Lives! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2014 (Whoop!). I then went on to graduate from The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2018 – Dr. Hathaway and I even had some of the same professors!

My husband Aaron and I moved to College Station after getting married in June 2019. As Aggies, it was a dream come true for us to move back to the Brazos Valley. We love watching the Aggies BTHO our opponents each week! In our free time we enjoy spending time outdoors – hunting, fishing, and hiking. We have family scattered across Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas and enjoy traveling to see them. Aaron and I attend Central Baptist Church and look forward to continued involvement within the church and the Brazos Valley community. While we do not have any children yet, we plan to start a family in the coming years and look forward to raising them in this wonderful community we have come to love!

I am committed to a lifetime of learning and strive to give my very best to my patients. As such, I am a member of The American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Brazos Valley District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Active involvement in organized dentistry is extremely important to Dr. Hathaway and me. We are both members of the Brazos Valley Spear Education Study Club which allows us to meet with other local general dentists and specialists each month to coordinate on difficult cases and continue our education through the Spear curriculum. This is such a valuable resource and I love being able to learn from so many amazing professionals. I am committed to furthering my knowledge and skills to take the very best care of you!

I am so excited to use my skills and talents to serve the wonderful people of the Brazos Valley. My promise to my patients is to always treat you like family, and to help you feel as comfortable as possible during your time here. I hope to see you soon!

Thanks and Gig ’em!
